CORRECTION OF CATARACT SURGERY
Most cataract procedures are performed with no complications. The IOL is placed securely in the capsular bag, and it stays there for the duration of the patient’s life. However, in some cases, the IOL can become dislocated to the point where a secondary intervention is required. In these cases fixation of dislocated IOL is carried out using different techniques involving suturing of dislocated lens or its replacement with and without additional vitreo-retinal surgery.
In some cases uneventful or complex cataract surgery may be complicated by corneal further decompensation or glaucoma which on its turn may necessitate additional surgery.
